WHY BIRDS?…
WHY NOT!

Like many of the things I make, this collection began somewhat randomly a few years ago. My grandad’s health was beginning to decline when I saw an image of a quail in an English Heritage magazine. It immediately took me back to my childhood, and I felt I had to create a piece inspired by it.

From there came the idea of exploring different bird species that might hold a nostalgic connection to my childhood and my home country. I simply wanted to draw them without any fixed purpose or expectation, imagining only that they might look beautiful together.

And here it is today, finally finished… (or is it?)… There’s always going to be room for further additions.
